"Captured by the Cross" is a drama presentation of Easter and it's meanings and original celebration. I went to watch it and was astounded by the professionalism and character of the play. When you're watching it, you're not thinking that "hey, this is a church doing this," actually, you're thinking "Dude, this is something that belongs on the same level as Tyler Perry or Broadway."
From the live music to the talented singers/actors, Word of Life does an excellent job portraying a very historical event in a very relevant way. Something this profound has now been given a creative avenue to flourish. Pastor Art and his team have achieved a level of excellence that would rival any performance art being done, anywhere. The production was a full-fledged assault on the senses, giving the viewer something new every second along the way.
It was interesting to see how the sanctuary became so alive in a matter of seconds from the announcements going right into the production. To see so much life as a result of one death, which was the message of the evening's event, could inspire anyone to overcome anything they're facing. This is something everyone must see.
A Lovely and Powerful performance... BRAVO

Annabelle's interview
Annabelle is rather extraordinary. Born and raised in Australia, she is accustomed to life down under. But, as ironic as it sounds, she's been mid-air most of her life, Show-Jumping her horses 24-7 from the time she could ride, up until she discovered a new love. Traveling horse-back eventually made the transition from passion to hobby as Annabelle decided to travel by air and foot in and all around South America. Being in countries like Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Uruguay, Annabelle enjoyed the sites and life on the road, gradually ending up in Hawai'i, where she got accepted into the international student program here at HPU.
When asked about her experience around the world that she's seen and been a part of, Annabelle giggles, shrugs her shoulders and says "it's been a thrilling ride, but it isn't over." She winks and smiles while I search for more questions, knowing there's more to pry about. She ponders on:"People tend to think it's exciting to do what I've done and be where I've been, but truthfully, I'm excited to think that life has brought me this far, only to move on further."
